Benson Vineyards Estate Winery is family owned and operated, located on the bountiful north shore of Lake Chelan. The vineyards were planted in 2002 on sandy loam soils, overlooking the pristine waters. Paul & Kathy Benson (mom and dad) fell in love with Lake Chelan while vacationing with their two son’s Scott & Jeff in the late 1970’s. They soon made their vacation cottage into a full time residence after Paul retired in 1996. In retirement Paul and Kathy visited many wine growing areas. After several enjoyable and fact finding trips, they began talking seriously about growing grapes in the Chelan area. After nearly two years of research, they asked both sons, Jeff and Scott, to join the exciting new adventure! By 2002 they had planted 23 acres of vineyard to 10 different vinifera grape varieties. In 2004 the story really began with the first harvest! The winery is 100% estate, and currently has 7 red and 4 white varieties planted.

The Winery Chateau Faire Le Pont is a state-of-the-art winery located in the beautiful Wenatchee Valley. Our beautifully renovated 1920’s brick warehouse was formerly used for staging fruit to be loaded onto trains. We have created an elegant, multi-use space while maintaining the strength and character consistent with an old brick warehouse. Expansive windows frame a panorama of mountain views. Our large outdoor decks and Gazebo are perfect for those beautiful summer days. Our vineyard lines the entrance to the winery. It is an educational vineyard showcasing different varieties of grapes. We feature an “adopt-a-vine” program, which includes a hands-on approach to wine making that ranges from learning how to prune the vines to harvesting and crushing the grapes, to producing and bottling wine. “Faire Le Pont” is a French term that means: “Bridging the Gap.” It’s used when a holiday falls mid-week and you are having such a great time that you decide to go ahead and extend it through the weekend. Awards AWARDS: 2013 Platinum Judging – Winepress Northwest Our judges this year were: Dan Berger, independent wine journalist from Santa Rosa, Calif., who runs the Riverside International and Long Beach Grand Cru competitions and judges around the […]

A long history in agriculture and a passion for winemaking, produces hand-crafted, premium estate red wines. Fielding Hills Winery released its first vintage in 2000. This small, family owned boutique winery has established itself as a serious big red wine producer with various prestigious awards. Winemaker Mike Wade, is a 3rd generation agriculturist and has spent his entire life in North Central Washington. A love of red wine and an admiration for the fertile soil of the Columbia River Valley have influenced Mike’s winemaking techniques. “I am fortunate to be able to make wine from my family’s Riverbend vineyard. Our grapes are located in the renowned Wahluke Slope AVA and receive the very best care possible. Only time honored, small hand crafted techniques are used to produce our premium red wines. We are thrilled to have you taste our wines and share in our efforts.”

It will always be about the wine. Those rare places that can grow grapes that can produce world class wines have much in common. A certain look, a certain feel, and the right soils, permeate these lands. Many are graced by the moderating influences of a great body of water. It was only a matter of time before vineyards came to banks of Lake Chelan and indeed grapes have been grown here for decades. We started a small experimental vineyard in the early 1990’s. The results were mixed. But the critical lessons were learned. The grapes would survive the winters. The influence of the lake in both moderating winter cold and summer heat was clear. The growing season is warm but shorter in days. Selection of grape verities would need to match those conditions leading some to believe that Lake Chelan would become exclusively a white wine region, hardly the case. It is true, Lake Chelan will never be noted for the late ripening reds like Cabernet Sauvignon but, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah and many other reds will flourish here. Armed with the results of the test vineyard we purchased nearly eight acres on the cooler South Shore and planted […]

Everyone has a siren song. What’s yours? We believe that everyone has a siren song. Ours is the romance and beauty of making hand-crafted wines in the old tradition. This is truly a labor of love and passion. We make our wines for people who seek discovery and variety. People just like you. Every Siren Song wine is inspired by an adventure, a journey, or a delicious meal that was experienced with family and friends. We name each wine accordingly. You’ll find the unique story for our wines on the back of every bottle. Our winemaker, Kevin Brown, holds the creative vision for Siren Song. Having grown-up in California as the second son in a family of “foodies,” he experienced great wines from an early age. As an adult, he continued his wine and food education while living and working in France, Spain, and Malaysia. Whether it was while he was training to be a chef in Provence or while drinking “vino tinto” and running with the bulls in Pamplona, he heard the siren song of winemaking and it became a life-long seduction.
